The HOUSE WE BUILT!

There are three more things we really need to get done before we can move into our new house..

1, put up the spouting, we need to do this so the water from the roof can be collected because right now that is the only way we will get any.

2, Build a tank-stand and put the tank up on it, this way we will have just enough pressure to run the taps inside (when we get taps…).

3, Set up the solar array and make it so we can charge our computers and phones….or no schoolwork, and Mum can’t do her job.

Today we started building our tank-stand. WE need a tank to catch the water that will run off our roof, and we need it on a stand so we get just a little water pressure. Today Mum and I designed the stand, we sat on old bits of wood in the grass by our house and decided how it would go, then Mum sketched it on an old bit of envelope and TADAH! We had our plans, then it rained (WOW! RAIN!) and when we were running round saving our tools from getting wet and we forgot about the plans…they will dry out though.

We dug a place for our tank-stand to go, it’s going to have an outside shower under it so we will put cement there, and cut some bits of wood….tomorrow we will build it. Any suggestions on how we can lift the tank up there by ourselves?
